Make Skincare Part of your Wedding Planning

Posted by Lett Aesthetics on

Congratulations on your engagement! We would love to help you feel your best on your wedding day. At Lett Aesthetics, we take a personalized approach to each client’s skincare, guided by their goals and timeline. The first step to getting your skin wedding-ready is to book a consultation with our team.

How long before a big event (like a wedding) should someone start their skincare journey?

Because different skincare concerns require different timeframes, we recommend coming in as soon as possible. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and set a timeline leading up to your big day. Whether you’re looking to lighten the skin, hydrate, or even reduce acne scarring, we’ll personalize a plan just for you!

What services do you recommend for Brides?

At Lett Aesthetics, we customize a treatment plan after a consultation with our clients, to ensure we’re addressing your specific goals and even skin sensitivities.

If your concerns are related to acne or acne scarring, we’ll typically have you come in as soon as possible - at least four to six months in advance of your wedding. It’s better to start early than try to fit in treatments too close to the day. Acne scarring can benefit from microneedling or chemical peels. For patients with active acne, we often recommend DiamondGlow® treatments, customized facials, and Celluma Light Therapy.

Grace, our Medical Aesthetician, particularly loves the instant results of our DiamondGlow® facial: a gentle dermabrasion device that gently removes the top layer of dead skin cells and infuses medical-grade serums into the skin to help address your skincare needs. It’s great for lymphatic drainage, reducing inflammation to the skin, and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Because this facial is so customizable, anyone is a good fit, regardless of their skin type.

DiamondGlow® also pairs well with many other Lett Aesthetics services, such as dermaplaning, Hydro Jelly Mask, and our Lett’s Glow Peel.

If you are accustomed to getting facials, we recommend our Red Carpet Facial: one of our signature treatments, perfect for looking fresh before an event or special day. Our Red Carpet Treatment includes dermaplaning, Lett's Glow Peel, and a customized mask that will leave your skin radiating with no downtime.

If you have Botox or Dysport as part of your treatment plan, we recommend timing your last injections for a month before your wedding, to allow time for any touch ups two weeks before your event if needed.

What products do you recommend for Brides?

We’ll definitely talk about specific products during your consultation! Here are a few of our favorite products for brides:

    •  Our Lett Aesthetics Hydrate Serum, for keeping the skin super hydrated.
  • Latisse lash serum, to help grow longer, darker, fuller eyelashes.
  • ZO Complexion Renewal Pads for smoothing out the skin’s complexion
  • Lett Aesthetics C Complex, for brightening the skin and protecting it from free radical damage. We especially recommend this serum if you’re having a spring/summer wedding where you plan to be outside for a good portion of the day.

  • Skincare Do’s and Don’ts for Your Wedding Week

  • Do take care of your skin from the inside out, by drinking plenty of water and getting a solid night’s sleep.
  • Don’t try any new products the week of your wedding
  • Do consider dermaplaning 5-7 days before the wedding, to give your skin a fresh, smooth canvas for your makeup.
  • Don’t use a tanning bed! Tanning beds can dehydrate and dry out the skin, which is the opposite of the hydration we’re aiming for. If you’re considering a spray tan, we recommend dermaplaning a week before your wedding, and then your spray tan 48 hours before your wedding day. Hydrate really well afterward.
  • Do keep ZO’s Complexion Clearing Mask on hand, to spot treat any last minute breakouts
  • Don’t do any aggressive exfoliating or even facial waxing the week of the wedding.
  • Do consider our signature Red Carpet Facial, which includes dermaplaning, Lett’s Glow Peel, and a customized mask that will leave your skin radiating with no down time.
  • Don’t forget about the rest of your body! Be sure to tell us what style of dress you’re wearing, so we can include your back and neckline in your treatment plan. DiamondGlow® is a great body treatment, helping to resurface and hydrate the skin.
  • Do ask our team for at-home care tips!
